Sometimes you happen to install a driver and it won't install because “The software you are installing for this hardware: 'hardware name' has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP”. As dumb as it sounds, I happen to stumble upon this problem quite often, so here's the fix: at the same point. When I asked the XP machine to ignore that warning, the program got installed successfully. So I figured out that the problem is with the Windows Logo test. Windows Hardware Quality Labs testing or WHQL Testing, also known as Windows Logo Testing, is Microsoft's testing process which involves running a series of tests on third-party hardware or software, and then submitting the log files from these tests to Microsoft for review.
