The Personal Resource Questionnaire (PRQ) was developed in the late 1970's by Patricia Brandt and Clarann Weinert, who were at that time doctoral students at the University of Washington. The measure was based on a synthesis of concepts with strong emphasis on the work of Robert Weiss.
